Moralistic Testy Thingy

You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

2. An old friend who once saved your life.

3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?

Think before you continue reading.

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application. You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first. Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS....................

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered: 'I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams.'

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations.

Never forget to 'Think Outside of the Box.'

HOWEVER......, My correct answer is to run the old lady over and put her out of her misery because Obama's health care won't pay for her, have sex with the perfect partner on the hood of the car, then drive off with the old friend for a few beers.

God, I just love happy endings!

Never forget to 'Think Outside of the Box... Like a Half-Demoness.'

(Afterthoughts)
MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Believe it or not, I actually had that question on a job interview once, and at the time answered the same way the candidate did. Yes, I got the job.

Another true interview question I got goes as follows.

Man and his wife are out driving. They have no phone and the car breaks down. There was a gas station a mile back and he decides to go for help. He tells his wife to lock the car and open it for no-one until he gets back.

When he returns, the car is still locked, his wife is dead, and someone else is in the car.

What happened?

Another one happened on a flight from Colorado to New Jersey and quite by accident I solved a twenty year old open FBI case file. Three people died in a hotel fire, and they were certain it was arson but years of investigation turned up no possible profit or reason for the arson. They (the owners) did not benefit from torching the place in any way and were financially destroyed. And of course three people died in the fire.

I looked at this guy and asked about the autopsy results on the vics. He said what autopsies? They died in the fire.

I said pull the files and you'll find at least one of them had NO smoke in their lungs. The arson covered up the murder(s) and will show a whole new view of the case. The light went on over his head and he was stunned that no-one had ever looked at that possibility.

We live in a strange world my friend.

The wife died during childbirth while the husband was gone and the stranger inside the locked car is his new baby.

Oh you are good! Believe it or not, you and I were the only ones to get it. Some of the answers the interviewer shared with me were stunning.

Right on Liz!
