Tombstone

I would like to thank a friend for sending me another wonderful email (hint: this post is that email). However I kinda disagree with it since I think our country actually died long ago and current events are just part of our eternal punishment.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election:

* Number of States won by: Democrats:19 Republicans: 29
* Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
* Population of counties won by: Democrats:127 million Republicans: 143 million
* Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years. If you are in favor of this, then by all means, ignore this message.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

(Afterthoughts)
If y'all wanna be a commie, then ya ain't ever gonna like reading a lot of what I post. Pa, go grab me shotgun!

I call bullshit on Olson's interpretation of the figures.

I want to know whether the welfare dependant started their dependency during the current democrat holding of their state, or in a previous republican holding. I want a breakdown of the social and economic factors that led to their curent state. I also want Olson to admit he doesn't know the difference between correlation and causation

If anything American aparthy is due to two dickheads called Bush who were more interested in lining the pockets of their friends, than making America great again.

And yeah I'm a commie, but that doesn't necessarily imply unAmerican (although I'm not actually an American anyway...)

I get a lot of these things in my inbox as well; there are people who I don't even bother to open "fwds" from anymore, knowing it will be something like this!

The people who believe all of this are the same ones trying to say Roosevelt had nothing to do with getting us through or out of the Depression, though the lake I fish closest to home was a WPA project as well as the high school my sons both went to.

If I didn't know some nice Texans I'd be tempted to ship them all there and then let them secede!

Interesting comments. I find the political explanation a bit thin but focusing on that is what causes most people to overlook the actual point. The country is slowly dying, and both political parties are to blame. The reason nothing gets any better is because everyone points fingers instead of working together to develop feasible solutions. When you point a finger in blame at Dem's or Repub's be sure to point at yourself also because you are slowing down the solution and adding to the problem.

Pandora should be goading us on. I have seen the entire "Read or Die" series and know that the British Empire is trying to regain control of the world once again. ;)

Shhhh! Don't let everybody know about our plans for the Second British Empire! :)

But yes you are right, both sides are partly responsible for the mess (even if it through being a useless opposition party during the other's reign).

One thing I will say is that the US *needs* its immigrant workforce to do those shitty unskilled labour jobs. You wont get those positions filled by native workers until pay and conditions improve!

Why, Ms. LizzyBeth! I didn't think you had it in you! Your comment re the British Empire is profound! :)
